Health & Wellbeing Evening 7th December 2017

North Cork Creameries in conjunction with the National Dairy Council is running a Health & Wellbeing evening on Thursday the 7th of December 2017, in the Edel Quinn Hall Kanturk. Doors open at 7pm & starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are €10 which includes entry to the event to listen to well-known expert speakers, a cookery demo by a celebrity chef, refreshments at a half time interval and a free gift bag!

Speakers:

Paula Mee -
Paula is one of Ireland’s leading state registered independent dietitians, she is also a well-known TV and media commentator. Paula will address the common myths around food and deliver some ‘food truths’!

Alan Quinlan -
Alan is a former Munster and Ireland rugby star. He became Munster's most capped player with a total of 212 appearances before retiring in May 2011. His list of honours includes five League Division 1 titles, two Heineken Cups and a Celtic League winner's medal. On an international level, Alan was also a prominent feature earning a total of 27 caps for Ireland and scoring 30 points. He was selected to play in two World Cups, in 2003 and 2007, and was then picked for the Lions Tour in 2009, but missed out through suspension. Alan will share with us his personal experiences on adopting positive mental health.

Cookery Demonstration by chef Brian Mc Dermott -
Brian McDermott is an award-winning chef & a well known television and radio chef, who has built a national reputation as a chef on one simple belief – that tasty, healthy food based around traditional recipes and local produce is something every family can make and enjoy. Brian will be giving us a live demonstration of some ‘creative’ cookery skills. Brian will be showing us how to create a delicious Christmas dinner with a dairy twist.

100% of the proceeds from the event which includes all ticket sales & raffle ticket sales will be donated to the following charities: Kanturk Community Hospital, Cope Foundation Kanturk, St. Joseph's Foundation Charleville & The Rickie Healy Appeal.
